The North Central and Northeast Forestry Education Symposium is presented by Bradford County,
Susquehanna County, and Wyoming County Conservation Districts to provide in-person forestry education
to private landowners, loggers, and forestry professionals, to continue and expand knowledge and
understanding of forestry practices, forester selection, sustainability, and forest health.
This event will include forestry presentations from local professionals on topics such as managing your
woodlot for wildlife, forest disease, invasive species, forestry best management practices and more!
The day will begin with Event Sign-In and Opening Welcome, and will include a light breakfast, catered
lunch, and multiple guest speaker presentations to attend throughout the morning.
In the afternoon, the Guided Forestry Tour will take place. This walking tour around Vosburg Neck State
Park will highlight previously timbered and properly managed forestry sites. This tour will be hosted by two
local forestry professionals and allow for discussion about your personal property and recommendations
and techniques to improve your woodlot.
Please be sure to dress appropriately for the weather conditions, as the Guided Forestry Tour will take
